Most people don't realize how noisy their cars really are. Most cars are inherently very hostile acoustical environments. Engine noise, exhaust noise road/tire noise, wind noise and the cacophony nearby your car combine with light weight sheet metal, plastic and glass accessories to create an extreme resonance noise in your car. And speakers are mounted in a very flimsy sheet metal door panel; the metal sheet may be vibrating while there is a sound impact.
