Why Do It? Is it necessary to use deadening when upgrading the audio system?Mar 16 2009

Most people don't realize how noisy their cars really are. Most cars are inherently very hostile acoustical environments. Engine noise, exhaust noise road/tire noise, wind noise and the cacophony nearby your car combine with light weight sheet metal, plastic and glass accessories to create an extreme resonance noise in your car. And speakers are mounted in a very flimsy sheet metal door panel; the metal sheet may be vibrating while there is a sound impact. On the other hand, the flimsy metal panel will vibrate while driving on an uneven road. These vibrations create resonance noise in the car too. All these will challenge to anyone looking for quiet or sound quality on the road. Anybody upgrading their audio system will be wasting their time and money if they don't do it.
